These frequently asked questions relate to our wedding stationery products and collections. If your question is in relation to our prints, we’ve provided lots of information on the products themselves so please read this thoroughly, and check out delivery & returns page for information relating to turnaround times. If your question still isn’t answered, then get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

We receive orders for invitations up to 18 months in advance, and as soon as a few months before the big day. We find most people order around 8 months before the wedding date, but would advise sending your invites out whenever you feel it’s right for you.

Not at all. We’ve only met a handful of customers, but even in these instances, any discussion about your invitations, design and wording still needs to be sent in writing. Most of our customers are spread out across the country, and the world – and everything can be dealt with hassle free online.

Not at all! Worldwide shipping is available for all of our products. We can print in any language too, as long as the wording is provided exactly as it should be displayed. Payment is required in GBP through the website, but will be converted to your own currency by our payment processor PayPal. Please also allow an additional 10 days on the overall turnaround for delivery, although many international orders only take an additional 3-5 working days to arrive. As all communication is digital, there’s nothing stopping you from placing an international order with So Betty.

We’re a home based business, and do not have a shop or premises. We have welcomed a few local brides and grooms into our (somewhat poxy) garage office, but the best way to view and browse our products is online through the website and our social media channels. However, if you’re in Coventry and would like to see the print options in the flesh, drop us a line and we can arrange a time for you to come and visit.

You can order a sample pack through the website here, which will show you all of the invitation print options available to you. These samples are NOT of the design of your choice, and we cannot provide personalised samples. These are simply to give you a feel for the print options and a nosy at the quality of the print and card. You’ll see digital proofs of your invites as we design them, so if you love your proofs, and you love the print options you’ve received in the sample pack, then we’re onto a winner!

ABOUT YOUR DESIGN

The collections you’ll find on the website are designs that have been created especially for our customers to their specification and for their wedding day. As new designs are created, these will be added to our website every few months, so the product range is always expanding. You can also check out our Facebook page for new designs shared every now and then. However, a bespoke design can be created especially for you and your wedding day at no extra cost! Why feel forced to pick an existing design, when we can develop something perfect for you from scratch?

Absolutely! You can customise any design in any way to ensure this ties in beautifully with your theme or colour scheme. There’s no limit to the number of customisations you can request on a design. But if you find there’s quite a bit you’d like to change, then maybe our bespoke design service would better suit you. There’s no extra charge for this service, and you’ll come away with a unique collection designed with you and your wedding in mind.

When we send across your initial design concept, if it’s not what you had in mind, we’ll simply scrap it and start again, using your feedback to develop a more appropriate design. When you receive your proofs, you’re invited to make as many amendments as you wish to the design. So we’ll work closely together to tweak and perfect your bespoke design and will never send to print until you’re completely in love with them!

Yes – we offer lots of additional products for your wedding day, all of which can coordinate with your invitation design. If there’s something you’d like, but you can’t see it online – get in touch! It may be something we already offer but cannot include on the website due to complex options or pricing. Or it may be something new that we can assist with. If it can be designed and printed, we can usually help!

You can include whatever wording or details you’d like. We’ll develop a design to suit you based on the information provided. It’s simply worth bearing in mind the suitability of the print option. If you have to include accommodation information, directions, gift details, a schedule of the day, menu options, etc – then a single invitation probably wouldn’t suffice. You’ll need to consider adding an additional information card or opting for our trifold invitations which have 6 sides for you to utilise however you wish – plenty of room for fitting in all those extra details.

A question I hope that one day will never need to be asked, but that we hear all too much. A wedding is a wedding, regardless of the gender of those tying the knot. Unless you’re planning wedding stationery that focuses on your gender (yes, we’ve done rainbows and glittery unicorns, and same sex silhouettes!) then it needn’t even be a consideration. Our bespoke design service means there’s no rules, or you can customise an existing design. They’re not designed just for a bride and groom. They’re not designed for two brides or two grooms. They’re designed to suit YOU and YOUR wedding day, however you want them to look!

ABOUT THE PRODUCTS

Unfortunately this isn’t a service we offer. The minimum order of items we send to print is 25. As soon as we personalise with a name, this becomes a print run of 1 – making it practically impossible for us to do. If it’s important to you to add guests names onto the invites themselves, we can include a line/space for you to handwrite names onto the invite. Just include this with your wording.

Whilst we do not offer true foiled invitations, as our invitations are graphically designed and digitally printed onto a silk card, we can mimic a foil or glitter effect with a pattern/image, to give the effect of a foiled invite at a fraction of the price and without the design and colour restrictions often imposed by this style of invite. There are lots of examples of these being used on the website, and as they are printed onto a silk card (smooth and silky, but not glossy), the finish works lovely with this option.

Our standard print options are A6, A5 and our 140mm square trifold invitations. However if you had a specific size in mind for your stationery, then we can usually help. DL (1/3 A4) invitations are a popular alternative, but we’ve worked with many couples to create a bespoke size/print option for their needs including folding cards, booklets, paper scrolls and more. If you had a preferred size you’d like to request, get in touch and we can advise on costs.

PLACING AN ORDER

Full payment is required through the website at the point of ordering. The way the design/print process works at So Betty makes a deposit/balance payment system redundant. Unlike many wedding services who require a deposit, you don’t have to book your date in our diary – you can order at any time. And the turnaround from ordering to design averages on 2 weeks (see home page for accurate current turnaround time) which means your full balance would be due within just a couple of weeks after your deposit.

We don’t offer an instalment option, as full payment is required through the website at the point of ordering. However, if you’re looking at ordering multiple items, such as invitations and then some items to display on the day, by splitting this into multiple orders, it’ll allow you to spread the cost over the course of a few months or a year. Your design will always be kept on file, so we can ensure everything coordinates, even if you don’t order all of your items at the same time.

There is a minimum order of 25 invitations per design we send to print (eg. 25 day invites, 25 evening invites, etc). Due to set up fees with each piece of artwork sent to print, this number cannot be lowered. Please note that the minimum order comes into effect for any reprints too – so make sure you order a couple of extras at the point of ordering to ensure you have enough to cover you for anyone you may have missed or may add at a later date.

We know weddings can be expensive. We’ve been there, done that, footed the bill. This is why our pricing is competitive, and in comparison to any other services of a similar quality and offering, we’re significantly better value than others – as we don’t put a premium price tag on the products simply because they’re for a ‘wedding’. For brides and grooms on a budget, we recommend our A6 invitations, which are £1.80 each. There’s no compromise on the print quality and you’ll still get your very own bespoke design – they are just a little smaller! And if you keep an eye on our Facebook page, we occasionally have offers and discounts that may be of use to you!

You certainly can! We can offer discounts to anyone ordering 200+ invitations, or anyone ordering multiple stationery items that total over £750. Drop us an email confirming your print options, products and quantities, and we’ll be happy to help put together a discounted package especially for you.

Wherever possible, we are happy to help with urgent orders. In order for us to confirm if we can help, please get in touch ASAP and provide details of what it is you’d like to order (including print options and quantities), the date of the celebration and a date you hoped to have them by. We will check our design queue, and can advise on possible turnaround times and delivery dates. Depending on how soon you need your order, a fee may be required in order to achieve this for you, but we’ll try to avoid this wherever possible.
